Raymond Art (Ostend °1919 - Liège °1998) was an autodidactic painter who initially worked in an impressionist manner, developing his style through expressionism, finally settling for his own brand of lyrical, baroque and geometrical abstraction. During his career, he worked with a number of surrealist artists including fellow autodidact Félix Labisse, Paul Delvaux, and René Magritte. Several of Art's works are on display in the museums of Ostend and Liège.
